Due to ongoing Railway projects throughout Africa they are looking for Heavy Haul Railway Track Alignment Design Engineers to be based in South Africa but to shape projects throughout Africa in locations including South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Gabon and Guinea.
You will be part of a project team that will design heavy haul railway track alignment projects / permanent way design engineering projects throughout Africa. A percentage of these projects will be pit to port projects.
You will be from a Permanent Way / Railway Track Alignment background especially in conjunction with heavy haul rail projects. You will ideally be degree educated in civil engineering . You will have excellent English language skills and communication skills both written and oral. You will ideally have 5 years field experience in permanent way and S&C detailed design. You will have a broad understanding of Permanent Way engineering and it’s interface between other engineering disciplines. Experience in track drainage and formation design would be beneficial. Exposure to global mapper would be required. Track Design software exposure is required but not specific.
