Our client is a new is a Mobile Broadband Wireless operator in Nigeria. It is powered by an award winning technology offering a unique combination of high speed, wide range and high base station capacity. It’s a pure IP, end-to-end system built on two primary components namely: base stations deployed by a network operator and wireless modems or PC cards.

Job Title: Head of Channels Management
Role Summary:
Develop sales through channel distribution of Wireless Broadband products. Directly Responsible for all Channel Sales and Marketing activities pan-Nigeria
Main Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and train channel partners to provide innovative solutions to customers/end users.
  • Champion Channel Development/Sales Campaign (retail/corporate/SME).
  • Delivery and implementation of on point sale materials for key retailers
  • Promote the execution of all customer marketing promotions and trade-wide retail promotions with key retailers and/or operators.
  • Drive trade marketing events across all regions.
  • Design, manage and implement channel marketing programmes that address brand availability issues.
  • Develop and manage relationships with the major channels, to support in-store activities.
  • Responsible for dealer account relationship management.
  • Communicate value propositions, brand benefits to channel members for positive volume/value growth.
  • Responsible for training on developing product knowledge in channels
  • Supports the channel development officers in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for the brands.
  • Responsible for new market development.
  • Creating brand visibility and merchandising at retail and general promotional activities.
  • Responsible for driving product sales across all levels of distribution.
  • Manage region, distributor partners, sub-dealers and retailers within selected regions.
  • Communicate Sales/Account Management strategies with Distribution Partners in order to grow volume and maximize profit.
  • Checking of stock level for re-ordering purposes and ensuring that there is no stock out.
  • Carrying out regular spot checks of newly activated retail outlets to ensure price compliance.
  • Accurately collecting both brand data and general market intelligence report to support Management planning and decision making.
  • Pay call visits to the distribution/retail outlets in their assigned locations.
  • Monitor, gather and escalate competitor’s information on and from the trade to senior Management.
  • Initiate, grow and maintain an inter-personal relationship with the distribution partners, sub-dealers, retailers and other stakeholders.
  • Create, develop and seal new Business opportunities for Big projects(Bids)
Profile
In respect of the ideal candidate profile:
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements of the ICT/Telecommunication industry.
  • Willingness to travel across Nigeria to ensure product distribution.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
  • Honesty, integrity and loyalty of highest order.
  • Devotion, diligence, dedication and discipline.
  • Commendable negotiation skills.
  • Good training schools.
  • Team work, proactive, self driven, result oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Critically asses own performance and continuing self/personal development.
  • Good personality, matured, credible, comfortable in dealing with stock-holders & stake-holders.
  • Committed, reliable, tolerant and determined.
Educational Background
  • Good First Degree, a masters degree and professional certification would be of added advantage
Years of Experience
  • 8-13 years of experience in sales and channel development.
  • Experience in ICT, IT and Telecommunication sector is compulsory.
