Job Description

A fast growing procurement company which specialized in renewable energy is seeking to recruit and experienced drivers for their fleet of haulage trucks. The preferred drivers will be required to drive from Accra to destinations nationwide.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide reliable driving services by using assigned trucks for the transportation and delivery of goods to assigned destinations
2. Take care of the day-to-day efficient maintenance of the assigned truck, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc; Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times
3. Log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc
4. Produce weekly records of mileage travelled
5. Check trucks for mechanical fitness and the security of the cargo, ensuring that cargo is protected against all weather conditions
6. Identify any apparent problems during field deliveries and report them to the supervisor
7. Perform other related duties as required

Required Skills or Experience

• Safety first and good driving habits
• Have excellent attendance and a positive attitude
• At least 3-5 years driving experience as a company driver
• Must be willing to complete a background check
• Good English Communication skills
• Formal drivers training with a valid driver’s licence grade F and a clean driving record
• Must not be less than 35 years of age
