Job Title: Business Development Executive       
Key Responsibilities
  • Present and sell company’s products and services to current and potential clients to increase sales and meet sales targets.
  • Identify sales prospects and leads, follow new leads and referrals resulting from field activity and convert to sales
  • Develop marketing plans and generate the tactics necessary to ensure that those plans are realized.
  • Keep abreast of market developments, set out and annually review the company’s sales and marketing strategy and tactics for all products and services and manage the activities of the company’s sales force, setting targets and work schedules and putting monitoring programs.
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships and a database of their details.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare a variety of periodic status reports, including marketing/sales activity, sales performance, competitor activities, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Visiting potential customers for new business.
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future buying trends.
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with your company’s managers.
  • Enhance and improve the positioning and image of the company brand, create unique customer experiences and contribute to positive relationships between the customers and the company.
Position Specifications
  • A good first degree in social sciences
  • MBA is an added advantage
  • Salesmanship, energy and drive
  • 4-5 years experience in similar position and good knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work without supervision or minimal supervision
  • Ability to listen, detect and anticipate client needs.
Method of Application
Positions are based in Port Harcourt with projects at Lagos.
